PURFLUX GROUP is an international group of companies committed to ensuring an adequate level of personal data protection in accordance with the obligations set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter, the “GDPR”).

This privacy policy is provided pursuant to Art. 13 GDPR and relates to the personal data of users of the www.filtri-tecnocar.com website (hereinafter referred to as the “Data Subject(s)” and the “Website” respectively).

Who is the data controller?

The Data Controller is PURFLUX FILTRATION S.A. with registered office at Immeuble le Renaissance, 1, rue Claude Monet, 78280 Guyancourt, France (hereinafter referred to as “We”, “Us”, “Our”, “PURFLUX GROUP” or the “Data Controller”).

As Data Controller, we guarantee compliance with the GDPR, national data protection legislations and the provisions of the Code of Ethics adopted by the PURFLUX GROUP.

 

Why are data processed?

We may collect the following categories of personal data for the purposes and according to the legal bases listed below:

1/ Navigation data. By way of example but not limited to, the following data may be processed: information on the pages and sections of the Website visited, the geographical region of the visitors, the language of the browser used, and the date and time of the visit.
Purpose: to enable the Data Subject to browse the Website, to obtain anonymous statistical information on its use, to carry out monitoring activities in support of security and to identify actions aimed at its improvement.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest, namely the proper functioning and security of the Website and its improvement.

2/ Cookies. For specific information regarding the data collected through the cookies used by the Data Controller, please read our Cookie Policy, available here.

3/ Personal and contact data: first name, surname, e-mail address, company and job (for greater accuracy, only a few job categories are envisaged).
Purpose: to activate our Newsletter service.
Legal basis: consent of the Data Subject.

We may also process the above-mentioned personal data for the following additional purposes and legal bases:

Purpose: to fulfil any legal obligation imposed on the Data Controller (e.g. to respond to requests from administrative, judicial or public security authorities).
Legal basis: fulfilment of a legal obligation to which the Data Controller is subject.

Purpose: to enable the Controller to ascertain, exercise or defend its rights in or out of court.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest, i.e. the protection of our rights in the event of disputes.

  • Personal data collection options

The collection of browsing data is necessary for the Data Controller to offer the best possible browsing experience and all the functionalities available on its Website. The data subject may restrict the processing of his or her personal data by following the indications contained in the Cookie Policy of the Website. The provision of personal and contact data is necessary to activate our newsletter service. Subscription to our newsletter service is free and optional.

 

What are the methods and places of processing?

Personal data collected by the Controller are not transferred outside the European Economic Area.

Data are mostly processed by automated systems in accordance with the law and only for the stated purposes. Specific security measures are observed to prevent data loss and/or illegal, incorrect or unauthorised use of data.

Processing operations using automated decision-making processes, including profiling pursuant to Articles 22.1 and 22.4 of the GDPR, are not envisaged.

 

With whom will the information be shared?

Personal data shall be processed by PURFLUX GROUP’s authorised personnel and may also be processed by third parties other than the Data Controller.

Such processing shall be carried out by PURFLUX GROUP's suppliers that provide services such as the technical administration of the Website (in this case, they shall act on behalf of the Data Controller as Data Processors, pursuant to art. 28 of the GDPR).

The Data Subjects' information may be communicated to public bodies or competent authorities in accordance with the provisions of the law, if necessary, and to professionals whose involvement is necessary to enable the Controller to ascertain, exercise or defend its rights (in which case, they will process it as independent data controllers).

Subject to your consent, your personal and contact data will be disclosed to our partners in order to provide you with commercial communications (in this case, they will process them as independent data controllers).

 

How long will the information be kept?

The personal data collected by the Controller will be retained until the purposes described above are fulfilled. Notwithstanding the above, the Data Controller specifies the following:

  • Browsing data

Browsing data will be kept for a maximum of 7 (seven) days.

  • Cookies

The data collected through cookies will be kept for a period of time not exceeding the time period stipulated in our Cookie Policy.

  • Personal and contact data

Data collected for the purpose of providing our Newsletter service will be kept for 24 months after collection.

These terms may be extended in the event of disputes, requests by the competent authorities, when required by applicable law or in the event of renewal of consent by the Data Subject.

At the end of the aforementioned retention periods, personal data will be deleted, or otherwise rendered unintelligible by the Data Controller, e.g. by means of encryption or pseudonymisation techniques.

 

What are your rights? How to contact us?

Pursuant to Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • obtain access to your personal data and receive information on how they will be processed;
  • have your personal data corrected if inaccurate and incomplete personal data completed;
  • have your personal data deleted;
  • obtain restriction of processing;
  • move, copy or transfer your personal data;
  • object to the processing of your personal data; and
  • not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you.

Finally, if you consider that your rights under the GDPR have been violated as a result of the processing of your personal data in violation of the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a Supervisory Authority (as provided for under Art. 77 of the GDPR - here you can find the name and contact details of all EU Supervisory Authorities), or you have the right to bring proceedings before the courts of the Member State in which the Data Controller has an establishment, or in which the Data Subject has its residence (pursuant to Art. 79 of the GDPR).

 

Modifications

This privacy policy may be subject to amendments and additions, including in the event of changes to the applicable law.

Should changes to this Privacy Policy be significant, users will be informed in advance through:

  • our website (e.g. via a pop-up notification);
  • other communication channels (e.g. by e-mail).
